Why buy Piranha? With an extensive range available for all major 4wd models, Piranha produce the highest quality products with detailed fitting instructions and support available. Piranha battery trays are made from 2mm thick mild steel with a thick 8 to 12-micron zinc electroplate.
Why do they electroplate their battery trays? Batteries, by nature, are extremely corrosive. Their high acid content means they sweat or give off fumes if put under load or are subjected to too much heat. The electroplate coating protects the metal in the battery tray from being corroded by the acid.
